Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center

The Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center (NPWRC) conducts integrated research to fulfill the Department of the Interior’s responsibilities to the Nation’s natural resources. Located on 600 acres along the James River Valley near Jamestown, North Dakota, the NPWRC develops and disseminates scientific information needed to understand, conserve, and wisely manage the Nation’s biological resources. Research emphasis is primarily on midcontinental plant and animal species and ecosystems of the United States.

Geocommunicator

GeoCommunicator is the Bureau of Land Management's publication site for the distribution of geospatial data and products to the public. GeoCommunicator provides free interactive mapping, map streaming services (ArcIMS (image and feature), WMS, ArcGIS (REST, SOAP, KML), web data services for online products or user developed products including GeoCoder (converting latitude and longitude -> land description and vice versa), Find LD (pass a land description and have the spatial description returned), Derive LD (pass the spatial component and have the land description returned, and Survey Exporter (pass the township have the coordinates returned). Additionally, users can save the map as a URL link with the selected layers, extent, and highlighted information.
