New cycle of 'Real Skills for Scientists' webinars for Medical Sciences

The series of webinars Real Skills for Scientists, organised by EKT in collaboration with R.E.A.L. Science and the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, aims to develop skills for the professional employment of young scientists and researchers.

Under the 'Knowledge and Partnership Bridges' initiative, the National Documentation Centre (EKT),  in collaboration with R.E.A.L. Science and the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, is organising a new series of webinars 'Real Skills for Scientists'. Following four successful cycles of webinars in Life Sciences, ICT, Humanities, and Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Real Skills for Scientists returns in May 2022 with a fifth round, this time in Medical Sciences.

The new series of seminars, consisting of 2 webinars with trained speakers on topics such as medical entrepreneurship, drug research in industry, as well as Clinical Medicine, etc. is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers and young researchers in all scientific fields, all degree levels and all career stages.

During the seminars, young scientists, young professionals and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet online and talk with renowned scientists from Greece and abroad, who will share their own career experiences. The speakers come from both academia and business.

The core focus of all the seminars is the development of skills for the professional employment of young scientists and researchers such as creating a suitable curriculum vitae, volunteer work, parallel fields of work to enhance their research/scientific profile, writing research proposals and finding funding, scientific publications and useful networking tips, etc.

This cycle includes 2 seminars in May:
Thursday 19 May 2022 (in Greek) (17.00-18.30): Creation, strengthening of CV
Thursday 26 May 2021 (in Greek) (17.00-18.30): Access to finance, networking and entrepreneurship
