The 12th Meeting of the Agri-Food Sector Group (SG) of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) will take place in Athens from November 5 to 7, 2025. The event is organized by the National Documentation Centre (EKT), coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network Hellas consortium.
This event one of the most significant European gatherings in the agri-food sector ever hosted in Greece, bringing together major organizations, enterprises, research institutions, clusters, and cooperatives that play a key role in shaping the industry. The meeting aims to highlight emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities defining the future of agri-food, fostering collaboration between science, business, and innovation.
The Enterprise Europe Network is the largest European network supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. Within this framework, the Agri-Food Sector Group unites experts and organizations active in agriculture, food production, processing, and supply chain management. It promotes partnerships, knowledge exchange, and access to European policies and programs. Through knowledge transfer, networking, and the creation of strategic collaborations, the Sector Group actively contributes to the internationalization of SMEs, the enhancement of innovation, and the transition toward sustainable and resilient agri-food systems across Europe and beyond.
The three-day meeting will take place in two iconic venues — the Institute of Agricultural Sciences at Syngrou Estate in Maroussi (November 5–6) and the Metropolitan Expo (November 7), as part of the international exhibitions FoodTech and Global Pack 2025.
The program is designed to combine rich thematic content with networking opportunities, featuring policy discussions, educational activities, and field visits. Highlights include keynote addresses from representatives of the European Commission’s DG GROW and EISMEA, panels with European and Greek agri-food organizations, and sessions on Artificial Intelligence in the agri-food sector. Greek industry figures such as Giorgos Pittas (Attica Beekeeping), Ioannis Kaimakamis (Livestock Strategy Consultant), Mary Triantafyllopoulou (Wines of Greece), and Christos Giannakakis (COGREXPO – Venus Growers) will also participate.
The third day will be held at the Metropolitan Expo within the framework of the FoodTech and Global Pack exhibitions and will focus on connecting research and entrepreneurship. FoodTech 2025, under the auspices of EKT and the Enterprise Europe Network, will host the final day of the Agri-Food Sector Group meeting. It is an international exhibition of food and beverage technology and equipment that attracts leading suppliers from Greece and abroad. EKT and EEN Hellas will organize B2B meetings for the agri-food sector, offering companies, research centers, universities, and clusters the opportunity to present ideas, exchange experiences, and explore collaborations. The event will gather over 60 representatives of EEN member organizations from Europe and beyond, aiming to strengthen transnational cooperation, promote best practices, and showcase Greek enterprises and research institutions on the European and international stage.
