“EU Green Deal” Policy Brief Introduction by STARTUP3

The report attempts to analyze the green strategy of Europe, as well as the goals that have been set in order to become the world’s first climate neutral continent by 2050.

The "EU Green Deal" policy brief is dedicated to Europe’s Green Deal strategy. The European Green Deal is a complete action plan that aims to boost the efficient use of resources by moving to a clean, circular economy within the EU, restore biodiversity and reduce pollution. It is one of the core actions towards the achievement of the EU targets for climate neutrality in 2050.

The report is an attempt to analyze the green strategy of Europe as well as the goals that have been set in order to achieve by 2050 to be the first climate neutral continent in the world, always with guidance and financial support. Also mentioned and analyzed are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are set by the United Nations and describe the world we want for our future.

Finally, it includes an analyzation of the European cohesion strategy for the next programming period as well as the smart specialization strategy.
